Hello, this is Dr. Linda. I hope I can help with your concerns this evening.

While Vetmedin has a very large margin of safety, there have been reports of cardiac abnormalities, hypertension, & hypotension with a wide range of overdoses.

It would be best to have Jack looked at immediately. Vomiting could be induced to remove as much of the drug as possible, then charcoal is admitted to absorb any residual compound. Fluids are used judiciously to prevent hypotension ( low blood pressure ). He may be just fine, but I would feel better if you could get him to an emergency clinic.
