The diphacinone in that product becomes lethal at 6.2 ounces of product per 22 lbs of weight. While vitamin K is the antidote, we give it by injection at doses 100X that which are found in over the counter supplements. How much does he weight and how much could he have ingested, please?

a small amount ingested and he is approx 35 pounds
Dog Veterinarian: Dr. Michael Salkin, Veterinarian replied 10 months ago

Thank you. It's very unlikely that he was intoxicated. At 35 lb of weight, he would have needed to ingest at least 10 ounces of that product to be life-threatening. I would watch for uncontrolled bleeding from any orifice or an increased respiratory rate indicating bleeding into his chest cavity which can arise within 1-4 days post-ingestion. To be very sure, you can have his clotting times (PT, PTT testing) performed 2 days after ingestion. If they're normal, he wouldn't be in trouble and no treatment would be necessary. Please continue our conversation if you wish.
