I'm sorry that your question wasn't answered in a timely manner and I'm sorry to hear of this with Rosie. Her head posture often indicates encephalopathy (brain disorder) particularly if you're also seeing a change in her mentation (mental status) and other indications of a brain disorder such as aimless wandering, circling, wall hugging, and becoming trapped in corners. Pugs are overrepresented with a severe form of meningoencephalitis (necrotizing). Rosie's vet will want to perform a thorough physical and neurologic exam and may elect to refer Rosie to a specialist veterinary neurologist (www.acvim.org) who is best equipped to perform the advanced diagnostics - MRI and cerebrospinal fluid tap/analysis - needed in such a patient. Please respond with further questions or concerns if you wish.

Does it cost to get advice. Pug. Our pug went blind very
our pug went blind very suddenly and also has lost some of hearing. She drinks alot and was obsessed with food to the point she would jump on the table as soon as we left to eat anything on there. This stopped after a few weeks. We took her to our vet a few weeks ago telling him she was running into things like fences but saw solid objects fine, after lots of blood work she only showed signs of high cholesterol and had gained about 3 pounds in 2 months. This past sunday she cried out once and then ran into everything both solid and not. She is confused often walks around with no purpose and sometimes has panting spells. He gave us some eye drops confirmed she is perminently blind and has lost some of her hearing. We are to return this wednesday and if she has not improved then he suggested it could be a tumor. Right now if there is not any improvement we may nedd to put her down … read more
