I found one of the Combat Roach Bait traps had been chewed into by my dog. I don't know how much he got. He didn't tear open the top completely, but his saliva got into it and he might have gotten some on his teeth and in his mouth, He's not on any other medication, but he's very small, only 5 lbs.

Veterinarian's Assistant: I'm sorry to hear that. The Expert will know what to do with the drooling. What is the dog's name and age?

There is no drooling. I am afraid he got some in his mouth threw chewing the trap. He is 5 or 6.

Veterinarian's Assistant: What is the dog's name?

Griffin

Hello, I'm Dr. Kara. I have over 20 years of experience as a veterinarian and I'd like to help. Please give me a moment to review your concerns.

There are several types of Combat ant traps with different formulas.

Some contain sodium tetraborate or Borax, while others have indoxacarb or pyrethrins, while others have hydramethylnon, and some contain Abamectin B1. None of these are highly toxic for dogs, but he's small and all have different symptoms to watch for so it would be helpful if I knew which one the trap contained.

Do you think he ingested the plastic too?

Does he have any health issues?

How long ago did this occur?

How is he behaving now?

Is he willing to eat and drink?
