Customer Question

I have a small older tee cup i gave her milk for constipation i than read only 1/2 teaspoon after i let her drink maybe a half cup of milk. she really liked it. she did make two small stools which was very good she seems to be have difficulty breathing. she has been having that as an ongoing issue vet seems to think that it is from lower back pain or the small lump under her chin thus ruling the underling problem. my question is should I back concerned about the amount of milk that I have given her.

Veterinarian's Assistant: I'm sorry to hear that. What sort of animal are we talking about?

A tee cup poodle weight 5 pounds 14 years old

Veterinarian's Assistant: OK. Some lumps are serious and some aren't. Let's see what the Veterinarian has to say. Is there anything else important you think the Veterinarian should know about the poodle?

Or hubby says 12 years old

Can you tell me more about what is going on with her aside from your concern on the volume of milk? Can you describe the stool quality you're seeing? Any runny stool or are they normal? hard?

Are you seeing any vomiting?

Is she on any medication for the lower back pain? What diagnostics have been run?

She has been what appears to be two issues at the same time. Initally it was though that coco had fluid in her lungs tests revealed the crackling sound was not due to heart disease. But the laboured beathing and sounds in lungs seems to get better with medications. Their so far still on Furosemide .01 x day, Termaril-p 1/2 x day, pretizone liquid .05 x day. She had a soft fluidlike small ball under her skin under her chin in the throat area. Could this be causing her labored breathing instead of a clasped teachea? As to the pain vet says it's due to a lower back issue stomach bloats due to her pain you can also see heavy breathing with this last night. I gave her milk in desperation because she was such in pain.

Her stool was a very small amount compaired to the amount that she eats.bI thought she may be conspipated.she did have the stools an hour after I gave her the milk last night. Her teeth are poor breath smells so little amount of virgin unprocessed vinager in water brushing teeth to kill bacteria thought may help. Trying to figure what is the root cause of her issue. Lower back jumped from a high couch seems she has asmall weird banded crease on runs on top of her lower back ribs?

Her stools were very dark, firm short in length last night. No vomiting at this time since shes been on the meds her hacking has stopped vets diagnosed a collapsed trachea issue.

She does seem to feel much more confortable when she having labored breathing when I give a 1/4 pain pill. Running out of her pain pills though her lower bottom is tucked under while standing and her legs and feet turns outward away from her torsevalso while standing.
