Gorilla glue is one of the diisocyanate glues that can cause gastrointestinal irritation and foreign body obstruction due to glue expansion necessitating surgical intervention. Neither inducing emesis nor gastric lavage are recommended due to the risk for esophageal and GI obstruction. At this point simply monitoring is indicated; signs of mild, nonobstructive ingestions generaly resolve within 24 hours. Please respond with further questions or concerns if you wish.

Thank, you how soon would he show signs of distress.
Dog Veterinarian: Dr. Michael Salkin, Veterinarian replied 11 months ago

You're quite welcome. Clinical signs occur within 15 minutes up to 20 hours after ingestion. Most common clinical signs are consistent with GI foreign body obstruction and include retching/gagging, vomiting, anorexia, abdominal pain as evidenced by vocalizing and an abnormal posture, and abdominal distension. Please continue our conversation if you wish.
