Customer Question

She has tapworms:(
JA: I'll do all I can to help. What is wrong with the dog?
Customer: They told me to keep her outside the house
JA: Where does the dog seem to hurt?
Customer: but i live in an extreamly hot place cant keep her outside also, im afraid for my own safety and the safety of my children
JA: OK. No obvious pain. Can you see anything that looks wrong or different?
Customer: no
JA: OK. Nothing visually obvious. Is the dog eating normally?
Customer: yes i saw a few worms in her stool a few days ago thats how i knew took her emmidiatly to the vet but the vet told me to keep her outside
JA: OK. No appetite problems. There are all sorts of infestations the dog can pick up. I'll have you talk to the Veterinarian who'll sort out what is wrong and help you decide what to do about it. Is there anything else important you think the Veterinarian should know about the dog?
Customer: Shes a 9 month old Beagle .. I jsut want to know if ots safe for me to keep her in the living room

My question is : where should i keep my dog
And if i or any one in the house will get the worms
Expert:  Richard Rawling replied 1 month ago.
She should be fine in the house. Tapeworms can be passed on to humans, so I would advise being really careful with hand hygiene. Be sure to wash your hands after handling her, picking up her poop and before you eat.
