Customer Question

My dog accidentally ate 1/2 of a 25 mg Metoprolol Success ER pill. She is a boxer about 63 lbs.
JA: I'm sorry to hear that. The Expert will know if your dog will be able to digest that. What is the dog's name and age?
Customer: Nikki and she is 9
JA: Is there anything else the Veterinarian should be aware of about Nikki?
Customer: She also takes .6 mg of Levothyroxine 2x daily.

I might dose a 63 lb dog with 25 mg of that beta blocker and some will dose as high as 75 mg. Nikki should remain unaffected unless she suffered from a heart condition in which a beta blocker would be contraindicated. There's no need to induce emesis or treat in any manner. Please respond with further questions or concerns.
