Customer Question

5 yr. old female chow chow, panting incessantly, very thirsty, restless, cannot sit still for 3 minutes, Zara is holding right leg up, nose feels hot.
JA: I'm sorry to hear that. Problems with drinking can be serious. I'm glad you noticed it. The Expert will know what to do. What is the dog's name?
Customer: Zara
JA: Is there anything else important you think the Veterinarian should know about Zara?
Customer: Has chronic severe arthritis per Ortho evaluation at 4 yrs., ate very little tonight, but often does that--likes to eat in the morning. Has gone outside twice--woke me up w/ doggie door--asked to go out front on balcony where she loves to be all day even when it is hot.

I'm sorry that your question wasn't answered in a timely manner. Please let me know if you still need help. May I have an update on Zara, please?

Her symptoms are important but not pathagonomonic (specifically indicative) of any one particular disorder. They suggest intoxication by a prescription or recreational drug, by a metaldehyde-containing snailbait or bromethalin-containing rodenticide.
