The angioedema you're seeing as face swelling represents a hypersensitivity reaction not only to envenomation but also to vaccination, a drug, chemical, food, or plant. Most dogs will normalize unaided within 36 hours. Administering an over the counter antihistamine such a diphenhydramine (Benadryl) dosed at 1-2 mg/lb (maximum dose of 50 mg at any one time) every 8-12 hours can be helpful. A glucocorticoid (steroid) such as prednisone will be more effective. Please let me know if you have such a steroid at home and I'll see if I can give you a dose for it.

i gave her 25 mg benadryl approx 3o min ago, i will give another 25 mg dose now, i do not keep other medications for fear the dogs may get into them.
Dog Veterinarian: Dr. Michael Salkin, Veterinarian replied 2 months ago

I understand. The Benadryl should do the trick. Many caretakers worry about throat swelling and resultant dyspnea (difficultly breathing) but this is quite rare in these dogs. I can't set a follow-up in this venue so please return to our conversation - even after rating - with an update at your convenience. You can bookmark this page for ease of return.

is there any signs i should watch for, to indicate a worsening condition; or that would require emergency care?
Dog Veterinarian: Dr. Michael Salkin, Veterinarian replied 2 months ago

Only the difficulty breathing as I mentioned above. This is a delayed hypersensitivity reaction - very different from the life-threatening peracute (sudden) anaphylaxis in which blood pressure drops precipitously.
