Hi. My name is***** Thank you for your question about your girl. How long has Brandy been losing control of her hind legs? What breed is she? Did your vet start up any therapy to see how it would help?

Ok. That is good that the x-rays that were taken didn't show any hip problems. For one his age, it would seem not as likely to have some of the more worrisome situations like degenerative nerve conditions to the rear legs or spinal cord issues. Could this be some musculoskeletal discomfort that needs time and rest combined with pain management to see what happens. In situation like this, it may be an option to talk to your vet about a course of pain medications to see if that can have some impact on the situation. If this all started after being hit by a bale of hay, it would seem reasonable to see how that would help. Your vet has the best and safest medications to give this a trial therapy.
