My daughters dog got ahold of my pill box she may have eaten a singular pill and one of my metforman 500 was broken up. The dog is a year old an American staffordshire. Do I need to be concerned and call poison control?

No, the oral hypoglycemic drugs such as metformin are inactive in dogs and Singulair (montelukast ) while not prescribed to dogs is quite safe even in overdose situations. Rats and mice survived oral doses of up to 335X of the usual human adult dose. There's no need to induce emesis or treat in any manner. Please respond with further questions or concerns.
