Without a hands on exam, I can not give the detailed information you request, but based on the photo, it looks like Bruzo obtained an injury to the skin that got infected. Flies laid their eggs on the wound & maggots began feeding on the flesh. Once this is cleared out, & antibiotics applied & started orally, the wound will begin to heal. At some point, surgery may be required to fully close the wound, but it is too dirty & infected to do that now. Usually, these wounds do very well with a lot of care.
