We just got a dog from the shelter. They nutered him today and then he was brought home around 4pm. We took him on 4 walks (thought they said to have him rest, the dog paces and won't lay down). But it hasn't urinated even once in all that time (or defacated). I'm concerned.

Veterinarian's Assistant: I'm sorry to hear that. Could be a lot of things that cause lethargy. The Expert will know how to help the dog. Is there anything else the Veterinarian should be aware of about the dog?

It must have been neglected, there are flea bite scabs all over his body. They treated him with NextGuard or some flea medicine.

My girl dog, has these black scabs all over her body. No she doesn't have flea's she gets a spa treatment every week. Today, when I was taking her for a walk. She went number 1 then quickly sat down, I thought she was just tired. Just got back from a walk if you want to call it that and she had her tail between her legs and sat down. She really didn't want to go, especially after she pee. So I brought her inside pick her up took her leash off and her female part is swollen, red a little bloody with black stuff around it. So I took a hot towel (clean) and cleaned her up. The black stuff seemed like it was tar because I really had to rub, and then when I was cleaning her private area with another towel wet hot. She has sores in the middle. whats wrong? … read more
