We're dog-sitting my son's dog while he's on his honeymoon.

Customer Question

Hi! We're dog-sitting my son's dog while he's on his honeymoon. The dog is a Collie/Keeshhoud (sp?) mix. He's a very affectionate dog and I think he's really missing my son and his wife. We got him on Sunday afternoon. He did eat something on Monday morning, but hasn't touched his food since. Is there something I should try to get him to eat?
JA: I'm sorry to hear that. What is the Collie's name and age?
Customer: Lucky. He's 4.
JA: Is there anything else important you think the Veterinarian should know about Lucky?
Customer: no, he's a great dog. Very healthy and happy. I think maybe he's a little depressed.

Thanks for trusting me to help you and Lucky today. I am a licensed veterinarian with over 30 years of experience and would be happy work with you but need a bit more information to better assist you if you don’t mind.

What food does Lucky usually eat?

Have you tried offering anything else?
