Demographics: Yorkshire terrier, 6.13 pounds, 1 year and 7 months.Around July 7th, my Yorkie, Yennie, began shaking violently and had diarrhea. She was bloated Later, she had trouble defecating. That weekend, she threw up once and continued to strain. On that Monday, I took her to the vet. They said it was most likely colitis and gave her 50mg metronidazole and Amra. I put her on a light chicken and rice diet three times a day.Her diarrhea slowly became better and by Sunday the 16th, she had stopped straining to defecate. However, she would still become slightly bloated in the morning and shake after she pooped. So I took her to the vet on Tuesday the 18th. (I actually registered with a different vet due to some mannerisms of the previous. Had my last straw with them, unfortunately.) New vet did a fecal, checked her out, and said since she's doing better, they'd put her on a probiotic as well as 1/4 tablet twice daily of metronidazole. (250mg)As of this morning, she is still shaking after she defecates. Her stool is normal. I do not think she is as bloated as she was. She is still on her light diet, although I'm trying to sneak in a little of her hard food so she can get back on it eventually. (She eats 4Health) I've also been giving her a dog supplement with pumpkin and cranberry in it.All of that being said, is the shaking still a sign that she is not quite healed? She is not a nervous dog. She only shakes when she is in pain or if it's thundering. (It's definitely not doing the latter.) She plays, eats, and drinks. It's just around 8am after she uses the bathroom every morning, she trembles. We go to lie down, and she sits up, hunched over, or she'll curl up in a ball. (Curling up is fairly normal for her, though.) I feel terrible seeing her in pain, so I rub her belly, which seems to calm her down a bit. Is there anything else I can do to ease the pain?
