12 lb poodle mix running/playing in heat. Started

Customer Question

12 lb poodle mix running/playing in heat. Started staggering/running stiff legged, -- no drooling, foaming, gums normal. Eyes glazed a bit, seemed addled. Cooled her down with wet towels, etc right away. Seems better now. Walking/not staggering, she's active again. Suggestions/ideas?
JA: I'm sorry to hear that. Have you looked to see if there is a wound on their foot?
Customer: Her feet are fine. She was playing in a clean pet enclosure. She's 3 yrs old.
JA: What is the poodle's name?
Customer: Ozzie
JA: Is there anything else important you think the Veterinarian should know about Ozzie?
Customer: She has never had these symptoms before. Perfect health, all shots, spayed, excellent care.

I am sorry to see that no one has reached out to you by now. Can you tell me more about what happened and where this occurred? Was Ozzie indoors or outdoors? In direct sunlight or not? If outdoors, what was the high for the day? Was heavy panting involved? Any vomiting? Did she seem to pass out or show signs of weakness?
