Customer Question

She has a bad tooth. It must hurt her now, and I need to know what I can give her until tomorrow (at vat). On no meds. 14 year old German Shepherd. My little lady.
JA: I'm sorry to hear that. What is the dog's name?
Customer: Alice. Thank you so much.
JA: Is there anything else important you think the Veterinarian should know about Alice?
Customer: No. She had a seizure only about 3 years ago. She cannot hear now, and doesn't get about much, but loves to eat!

The only over the counter pain medication you can give dogs is aspirin.

You can use the human kind.

The dose is 5-10mg of aspirin per each pound of dog every 12 hours.

For example a 100 pound dog would take(###) ###-####mg of aspirin.

Make sure you give it with food to help prevent gastrointestinal upset.

And of course soften her food with warm water.

How does that sound? Do you have any other questions?
