Customer Question

She's pregnant but she had a litter 5 months ago, when they were 7 weeks she got a bacterial infection in her skin doc said from stress probably, she finally got all her fur back n nice and healthy so I took her to get fixed and she's pregnant Again she's between 7-8 weeks (the vet thinks) and we came home from my sons meet today w/a big wet brownish red puddle almost on the floor and her pillow. She's a blue nose bully pit, it's late n I've been scrambling to get her tent (we made her a whelping box/tent w/a built in cushion so there's no seem for any lil pups to get lost, but she's completely calm!! No panting no other discharge, not really eating much drinking fine n now snoring beside me n I'm worried sick!!
JA: I'm sorry to hear that. We need to be extra careful with pregnancies, so we'll need to connect you with the Veterinarian ASAP. Is there anything else important you think the Veterinarian should know about the dog?
Customer: She's 7! My older dog is fixed after her 1st litter so is it possible she's in trouble? I don't really know if there are 24 hr vets around, but can it wait 4 morning am I just worrying or does she need 2 go now?

I'm sorry that your question wasn't answered in a timely manner. Please let me know if you still need help. My initial thought was that she's miscarrying and she needs the attention of her vet at your earliest convenience. An abdominal ultrasound should be the next step to determine fetal health and how she might be addressed at this time.
