My dog takes phenobarbital 32.4.He has bad a double dose around 12 pm.He is suppose to have it at 1am.Can I give it to hin or do I wait.

I am sorry that no one got to your question earlier. Different experts are online at different times. I recommend giving your dog his phenobarb on schedule despite the double dose. You do not want to skip a dose as the seizure control is dependent on appropriate blood levels of the medication and this will not be achieved if you skip doses. The double dose make make him sleepy but shouldn't have any major side effects as I commonly tell people to give an extra dose of anti-seizure medication if their pet as a seizure at home before bringing the pet in.
