I have a 2 pound chihuahua who seems to be constipation. What can I do for her
JA: I'm sorry to hear that. What is the chihuahua's name and age?
Customer: Gloria, she is about 8 months old
JA: Is there anything else the Veterinarian should be aware of about Gloria?
Customer: No, she is just tiny for me, I helped her mom have her and when she is crying out of pain and stopped I want to cry for her

Hi this is Dr HIll. I am so sorry that Gloria is experiencing pain. She is a tiny little girl at just 2 pounds. For constipation, I would try 1/8 of a teaspoon of canned pumpkin on her food twice daily. When was her last bowel movement? Is she crying when she is strain ing to have a bowel movement?

Wednesday, and she would hunch (is still ) and cries horribly, I was up and down with her several times. She doesn't even get up to try to go

It is not unreasonable to take her to your local veterinarian for an enema and to check her anal glands to make sure that she is not obstipated (unable to pass stool). They can make her much more comfortable.
