Both of her eyes are swollen and when she looks at you her

Customer Question

Both of her eyes are swollen and when she looks at you her pupils are set to the outter corners of each eye.
JA: I'm sorry to hear that. What is the dog's name and age?
Customer: Katie & 4 year old pit & box mix
JA: Is there anything else important you think the Veterinarian should know about Katie?
Customer: She has a cough. It sounds like she's choking on something but she's not. Sometimes she coughs with white results & other times nothing.

When did you first notice the swelling?

Definitely, this is well worth an immediate vet visit today. I am concerned about either eye trauma like a corneal ulcer from running in to something or being scratched by something. Or, I am very concerned about a prominent hypersensitivity reaction, which could easily explain the swelling you are observing.

At the vet, they can give a steroid shot to address the swelling, maybe start an antihistamine if worried about an allergic reaction, as well as, do a simple eye stain test to ensure the corneas are okay.

But, with swelling present, I definitely vote for an immediate visit today!

Hope that information helps
