My dog ate some juicy fruit gum. I am not sure how much. He is 57lbs and not sure how concerned I should be
JA: I'm sorry to hear that. The veterinarian will know if your dog will be able to digest that. Is there anything else the veterinarian should be aware of about your dog?

Hi this is Dr Hill. Was it the good old fashioned juicy fruit in the yellow package?

Okay good. It is not likely to be a problem. Some gums have xylitol in them which is toxic to dogs, but juicy fruit does not. As long as he did not eat a huge amount with all of the packaging, then he should be just fine. Watch for any diarrhea over the next couple of days, but that would be unusual. Please ask any follow up questions. You can continue posting on this thread for several days, even after rating my response. Take care.
