I submitted my de[posit, am I going to speak with someone?
Expert:  PitRottMommy replied 10 months ago.

Hello, JACustomer. I have been a Veterinary Nurse for over 15 years and would be happy to help you today. I'm reviewing your question right now.

Expert:  PitRottMommy replied 10 months ago.

How can I best help today? Are you main concerns the growths and curving of her body?

Customer: replied 10 months ago.
her weight loss, and infection that produces nasal discharge (sinus) . Very thickand in her chest.
Expert:  PitRottMommy replied 10 months ago.

I'm not able to offer a phone call at this time but we can continue talking online, if you like.

1) How long has the sinus infection been a concern?
2) Has your vet performed any diagnostics on the sinuses? Culture and sensitivity? nasal scope?
3) Have you had any bloodwork performed to determine the cause of the weight loss? X-rays?
4) Have any of the growths been removed and sent for histopathology?
5) Do you have pictures to share of the growths?
6) Is she on any meds?

Customer: replied 10 months ago.
I am not happy about the charges. I have spoken with no one, nor have I had a written response . Why is it $28. when it was said to be $15.?
Expert:  PitRottMommy replied 10 months ago.

JACustomer, I have listed questions above, did you see that reply? I will need more info to help you.

I do not handle any billing at all. I am simply here to assist customers. If you would like, I can contact customer service for you but it will lock the thread and I will not be able to reply to you further. Which is preferable?

Customer: replied 10 months ago.
far, this is very disappointing! Do not charge me $28.
Customer: replied 10 months ago.
She was treated with antibiotics x3,and nothing worked. That was in June. The dr. said they don't have the dianostic equipment to see what may be causing the infection. He suggested a clinic but told me the charges would be very high. We are on a very low fixed income. He was aware of the tumor on her eye. Was suspicious of one when showing me the xray of her chest that they did.
Customer: replied 10 months ago.
I can send pictures. She is not on any prescribed meds. He said whatever is causing it, which would need to be done elsewhere would be done by the culture study. At that time she had not lost the amount of weigth that she has now. Only 4 lbs. at that time. She eats well, but has increased her water greatly.
Expert:  PitRottMommy replied 10 months ago.

Has any bloodwork been run? I ask because her symptoms of weight loss and water consumption are often witnessed in dogs with diabetes.

Customer: replied 10 months ago.
No, they did not.
Customer: replied 10 months ago.
I went twice for the same problem and they are very sweet. We have been there for years. I think he was sparing me cost knowing our financial situation. Seeing the "cloudy looking mass" on her left side of her neck.
Expert:  PitRottMommy replied 10 months ago.

Here's where I would start:

1) Blood work
2) Culture and sensitivity/nasal scope to determine cause of the sinusitis and how to best treat with antibiotics
3) Removal of masses, if indicated, with histopathology.

At 10, we do see dogs with tumors and boxers are perhaps the most prone breed of them all.

It may also be worthwhile to look into resources that can help financially, such as those posted below. Without the diagnostics recommended, you'll have a hard time determining what is causing so many of her symptoms and won't know how to effectively treat them.

He was suspicious of Ca My concern has been peaked by all of the new eruptions of skin tags, and a mole that is irreg. and bled and is pink and black
Expert:  PitRottMommy replied 10 months ago.

Do you have pictures? Most of the small skin tags and moles we find on dogs aren't too worrisome. I would be more concerned about the drinking and sinusitis, personally.

Customer: replied 10 months ago.
How do I forward photos?
Expert:  PitRottMommy replied 10 months ago.

There is an attachment function on the page that should allow you to post pictures and video. You can also use websites like tinypic.com and youtube.com to upload pictures and video respectively. Once this is done, a set of links will appear. You can then post the link back and I can access them.
