Hello, I'm Dr. Deb and will do my best to help you today.

I'm sorry for this concern about Luigi. Fortunately, the ingredients in Fixodent wouldn't be toxic if ingested; gastrointestinal issues such as vomiting (usually within 30 minutes) or diarrhea (usually within 12-24 hours) might be seen but that's about all.

Fixodent does contains zinc salts but they are poorly absorbed and, thus, wouldn't pose a problem.

If he ate the tube itself, then there's a very slight chance that it might become lodged in either his stomach or intestines but it's not a high risk.

I would monitor for signs of persistent vomiting, lethargy, disinterest in food or abdominal pain. I'd also a bulk up the diet with fiber such as whole wheat bread which may help to increase transit time.

I hope this helps to reassure you about him. Deb
