You're speaking to Dr. Michael Salkin. Welcome to JustAnswer. I'm currently typing up my reply. Please be patient. This may take a few minutes.

I'm sorry that your question wasn't answered in a timely manner. Princess's tense abdomen, shaking, and breathing hard are pain responses. Both abdominal and spinal pain need to be considered. Which breed is Princess, please? May I have an update on Princess, please?

Thank you. How is she doing this morning, please?

Customer: replied 10 months ago.
Im not sure, she lives with my parents
Expert:  Dr. Michael Salkin replied 10 months ago.

Please encourage your parents to have Princess attended to by her vet at their earliest convenience. She's a small dog in which those symptoms can indicate degenerative disk disease (a "slipped disk") and potential paralysis as well as serious abdominal disorders such as pancreatitis which can look similarly.

Okay

Thank you for helping out your parents. I can't set a follow-up in this venue so please return to our conversation - even after rating - with an update at your convenience. You can bookmark this page for ease of return.

Hi,
I'm just following up on our conversation about your pet. How is everything going?

Now she just keeps throwing up
Expert:  Dr. Michael Salkin replied 9 months ago.

Pancreatitis and other abdominal disorders now are more important differential diagnoses. Thank you for the photo of breakfast.

Customer: replied 9 months ago.
What are the other disorders
Expert:  Dr. Michael Salkin replied 9 months ago.

More abdominal disorders than I could list in this venue. Primary gastrointestinal disorders and disorders elsewhere in the body that affect the gastrointestinal tract.

Customer: replied 9 months ago.
Could you explain her condition
Expert:  Dr. Michael Salkin replied 9 months ago.

I regret that I can't. I don't have enough information. My initial reply to you still holds: "Princess's tense abdomen, shaking, and breathing hard are pain responses. Both abdominal and spinal pain need to be considered."

Customer: replied 9 months ago.
Shes still little bit shaking. She usually barks at everything that passes by or parks by the house but lately she hasnt been doing that
Expert:  Dr. Michael Salkin replied 9 months ago.

It may hurt to bark in that manner.

Customer: replied 9 months ago.
She growls fine. When you try to kiss her.
Some days shes fine then the next not so much. She hasn't been trying to get the cats food ( chicken ) which we knee def she wasnt feeling good
Expert:  Dr. Michael Salkin replied 9 months ago.

It's really time to have her thoroughly examined by her vet.

Customer: replied 9 months ago.

Expert:  Dr. Michael Salkin replied 9 months ago.

That's good advice.

Can micro chips move and cause problems?
Expert:  Dr. Michael Salkin replied 9 months ago.

They can move but rarely cause problems.
