Customer Question

I have a small puppy about 7-8lbs. He just ate 2 "gentle" laxatives (5MG bisacodyl each) about 15 min ago. He's 11 1/2 months old ***** ***** /Chihuahua mix.
JA: I'm sorry to hear that. The Veterinarian will know if He 's will be able to digest that. Is there anything else important you think the Veterinarian should know about He 's?
Customer: No that's it. He's healthy. Eats everything sticks, toys, shoes, paper, etc

We dose bisacodyl to dogs at doses of 5 mg for small dogs and 5-15 mg for medium to large dogs. His ingesting 10 mg might be excessive but he'll remain safe. You might see cramping, vomiting and/or diarrhea at that dose but in general bisacodyl has relatively few side effects. Please respond with further questions or concerns if you wish.
