My 80 pound Golden Retriever ate one of my Lisonipril HCTZ

Customer Question

My 80 pound Golden Retriever ate one of my Lisonipril HCTZ 10-12.5 mg blood pressure pills this morning? What should I do?
JA: I'm sorry to hear that. The Veterinarian will know if the dog will be able to digest that. What is the dog's name and age?
Customer: Cheyenne and 10.5 years old
JA: Is there anything else the Veterinarian should be aware of about Cheyenne?
Customer: she takes .5 mg Levothyroxine two times daily which she has not had yet AND she had 8 mg of Apoquel (skin itch med)

Friend, one single dose of Lisinopril/HCTZ 10-12.25mg will Not be life-threatening or toxic to an 80 lbs Cheyenne, she may urinate more than usual and drink more than usual for today but otherwise will be fine. There should not be any negative interaction with the Apoquel or Levothyroxine, she will be fine. Just keep plenty of water available for her because of the diuretic effect of HCTZ.

My goal is to provide you with excellent service - I hope I've provided the information you were seeking, if you feel you have received anything less, please reply back as I am happy to address follow-up questions. Kindly rate me when you are done.
