Took my shih-Tzu, bichon mix to vet wed for shots, rabies

Customer Question

took my shih-Tzu, bichon mix to vet wed for shots, rabies dhpp and oral bordetella van-b, was in good health, took him home, and he threw up, and keep doing this every hour to every four hours, and it was nothing but bile, it is now 4 o-clock and I think he is having a reaction to the injections, will call vet first thing in am, but I need to see if I can do something in the mean time?

I'm sorry your dog is not feeling well! There is something you can do before the vet opens. I too agree that this is most likely a vaccine reaction. How much does he weigh? You can give him benedryl at home before the vet opens to help reduce the reaction. Is he still vomiting? Dr Tamie
