Customer Question

I noticed one of her hind legs has what appears to be an elaerged thigh muscle. It is hard. Doesn't limp or show any signs of pain.
JA: I'm sorry to hear that. Have you looked to see if there is a wound on their foot?
Customer: Nothing seen. She is an inide dog and rarely gets out.
JA: What is the dog's name and age?
Customer: Remi. I think she is about 4 years old.
JA: Is there anything else the Veterinarian should be aware of about Remi?
Customer: No. Very healthy spoiled pooch.

Hello, my name is***** and I am happy to help. Is the area soft to the touch? Is there an increased warmth?

Typically, you do not see an increase in muscle growth like that, so I would be concerned that there is a mass forming under the skin (like a benign lipoma- it's a fatty tumor). Those can easily be diagnosed by a visit to your veterinarian.

If I have answered your questions, please kindly rate me (this is how I am compensated for my time). If not, please reply back and I am happy to answer additional questions. Thank you.
