Hi this is Dr. Hill. I am sorry that Belle is not feeling well. Hip dysplasia can cause significant discomfort and stiffness, but typically does not cause loss of appetite. Since she is given joint supplements as well, it is unlikely that her hips are the major source of her anorexia. What joint supplements does she receive? At Belle's age I would be concerned with other issues, such as kidney or liver disease, an infection or neoplasia. Have there been any other issues or changes?
