He eats still energy level is still high, he was eating Kirkland turkey & sweet potatoe, vet suggested purina pro plan, so I changed to purine pro lamb & rice. I noticed that his skin started getting dander & he had dry patches on his elbows, The dry pimply spots on his elbows are looking better, I bathe him with anti fungal dog shampoo & the elbows are looking better but his paws are still swollen & blistery & sometimes bleed, but they are looking better too, but it's taking a long time to heal.

Hi this is Dr. Hill. It sounds like Blu may have allergies and is slowly responding to the diet change. Allergies are usually a combination of food and environment (inhalant) allergies. You should avoid the five most common allergens in this diet (beef, chicken, lamb, dairy and grain). Can you post a picture of his feet? Many times dogs with allergies will also need antibiotics, antihistamines and an e collar (to prevent further licking of any open wounds). In a pinch, warm epsom salt soaks provide relief for swollen feet, but depending on how severe will not completely heal if there is a bacterial infection as well. Please continue to ask questions and try to post a picture.
