Ask a Dog Vet and Get Answers to Your Dog Health Questions
Welcome to Justanswer! I am Dr. Altman and happy to assist you both today!I am so sorry to hear that your dog is vomiting and is lethargic. I am very concerned by your description of the vomit material and would strongly urge a veterinary er visit. The vomiting sounds like he has stomach ulcerations and if they continue to ulcerate and progress it can lead to a stomach perforation. This is not something I would advise treating at home and with his age and symptoms would not wait until the weekend is over to see your regular veterinarian. Please consider a veterinary er if there is one in your area or contact your regular vet which will have "what to do in case of emergency" on their voice mail. Please let me know how else I can assist you both but this is considered an emergency for your senior friend
