can I give my eight lb yorkie a baby aspirin, she is bothered by itching, and until I can deal with it in the morning, can I give her the aspirin to help her sleep

No, I would not recommend it.
For a dog so small, even if just a baby aspirin, it is a huge risk for gastrointestinal problems.
If itching, you would be better off giving some benadryl antihistamine.
For a 8 pound dog, you could give a 1/4 tablet of a 25mg benadryl. If using the liquid, you would give about 2-3ml or about 1/2 a teaspoon of the 12.5mg/5ml (that's what it would say on the bottle).

But, I would avoid aspirin. Benadryl far better for itching and might have a bit of sedative effect which would be desirable.
