My 72 pound German Shepherd just ate a wasp nest,

Customer Question

My 72 pound German Shepherd just ate a wasp nest, approximately the size of the end of a man's thumb. The nest had been sprayed with Real-Kill Wasp & Hornet spray that contains containing prallethrin and lambda cyhalothrin. I read I should not induce vomiting. Any advice you can give me would be appreciated.

Hello, I'm Dr. Deb and will do my best to help you today.

I'm sorry for this concern for your GSD. I do have a few additional questions to ask about her first if you don't mind:

1. How long ago did she eat the nest?

2. Had the spray dried when she ate it or was it still wet?

There may be a slight delay after I receive your answers since I have to type up a response to you. Thanks for your patience. Deb
