I have a pit mix that is 8 months old and weights 35 pounds

Customer Question

I have a pit bull mix that is 8 months old and weights 35 pounds full grown. My neighbor let my dog eat 3 hydrocodone 7.5 pills and then made her throw up but he didn't see the pills come up. Emergency vet is an hour and half away. Should I be concerned?
JA: I'm sorry to hear that. Hopefully it didn't make a mess. Did the dog eat anything unusual?
Customer: Just the pills.
JA: Is there anything else important you think the Veterinarian should know about the dog?
Customer: No

Welcome! Thanks for asking your question. My name is***** am a licensed veterinarian and I will be assisting you today. First I need to ask you a few questions so that I can be well informed and give you the best advice.

1- Did the hydrocodone have acetaminophen? If so, how many milligrams?

2- How long has it been since she ate the pills?

3- How soon after ingesting the pills did your neighbor induce vomiting?
