Customer Question

She is licking her left side of her body and smacking her lips, sticking tongue in and out.
JA: I'm sorry to hear that. What sort of animal are we talking about?
Customer: Yorkie Shih Tzu mix
JA: Maybe I'm confused. I thought you had a problem with a pet. Is that correct?
Customer: Yes - our dog
JA: What is the dog's name and age?
Customer: Ollie, 8 yrs
JA: Is there anything else important you think the Veterinarian should know about Ollie?
Customer: No - otherwise fine and healthy. This just started yesterday
JA: OK. Got it. I'm sending you to a secure page on JustAnswer so you can place the $5 fully-refundable deposit now. While you're filling out that form, I'll tell the Veterinarian about your situation and then connect you two.

Hi there. My name is ***** ***** I'm happy to help you with your question. Just like an in person consult, I have some questions of my own to help ensure I give you the best advice possible.

Is Ollie on any medications?

Does she have any underlying health issues?

Is she eating/drinking/urinating/defecating normally?

Any possibility of injury at all?

Other than the symptoms she's displaying, how is she acting?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
No medicines, illness or injuries. She has recently eaten some fabric (underwear). She also periodically has seizures and had one today. She is very lethargic and hasn't eaten.
Expert:  CVT_in_MN replied 1 year ago.

How long ago did she eat the fabric?
Is she vomiting or attempting to vomit?

Is her belly hard to the touch?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
She ate it in the last 2 days and is not attempting to vomit. Her stomache doesn't feel hard or distended.

Do you know if she's been defecating normally?

If you press on her belly, does she act painful?

Has she been drinking?
