Is your dog straining or trying to defecate?

Did he have any diarrhea before this started?

Is he still eating normally?

Ok thanks.

There are a couple things you can do to help promote normal bowel movements. The first, is adding fiber to the diet. To do this, you can give 1-2 teaspoons of canned pumpkin with his meals. Sweet potato baby food is also a decent alternative.

The other thing, is using a laxative. The most common one we use is Laxatone. It's typically used in cats for hairballs, but we can also use it in dogs. It's sold at most pet stores. Alternatively, you could pick up Miralax and use that. These are just used as needed 1-3 times daily until they start passing stool.

I hope this helps, let me know if you have any other questions.
