Customer Question

I have switched my 3 dogs to homemade dog food. I prepare it in a fairly large quantity, and freeze half of it. 10 lbs chicken, with skin (leave the fat in), 5 cups of rice, cooked (makes about 10 cups), 18 hard boiled eggs, pulverized, with shells on. I add Nupro vitamins, and fish oil. They are all getting diarrhea. I have read that this is a very healthy recipe for dogs. Am I missing something? They are not sick or lethargic, at all. Their fur is silky and they seem fine, other then the diarrhea.

There may be an imbalance in nutrients. Would you like to see a balanced home-cooked recipe using chicken as the primary protein source? If so, would they prefer rice, pasta, or potato to go with their chicken?
