Hello. Chances are, this is due to a flea allergy dermatitis. You'll need to get him on a monthly flea preventative like Frontline or Revolution or Advantage. For any itching, you may also use an antihistamine like Benadryl. The dose in dogs is 1-2 mg per lb body weight. It can be given every 6-8 hours, as needed.
