Just received a phone call from my fiance saying our 5 yr.

Customer Question

Just received a phone call from my fiance saying our 5 yr. old mutt threw up his dinner and grass and maybe foxtails. Yes, foxtails. I asked if he knew for sure if he ate any and he said no. How can we check if that is even possible and what do we do in the mean time? We're going to cut them down tomorrow and hopefully burn the yard this weekend to get rid of them!
Thank you

Hello. Foxtails can cause a lot of irritation when swallowed, as you can imagine. I usually use a coating medication to help with the irritation after this ingestion. I use Sucralfate slurries. You could get this from your vet. If you want to try something at home, you can use Maalox or Mylanta or Pepto without the aspirin. You can give 1 teaspoon every 8-12 hours, as needed. I hope this helps, let me know if you have any other questions.

I'm just following up on our conversation about Rio. How is everything going?
