We have a 11 week old Newfoundland pup who ate a small piece

Customer Question

We have a 11 week old Newfoundland pup who ate a small piece of a cocoa cassava bar, containing dark chocolate. I have reviewed a website that evaluated the risk as very mild. Our puppy weighs 25 lbs. he has seemed fine since he ate the chocolate (5th ingredient) about 7 or 8 hours ago. However he just had some very watery diarrhea. He seems ok now. Is there anything else we should consider doing? Of course I am not sure the diarrhea is due to the chocolate, I am just guessing that was the culprit.
