My dog had an extended problem with hiccups yesterday (15 Mins, maybe) but ate both her breakfast and dinner. Today she ate her breakfadt but has refused any treats and is currently haiccupping and has been for about 10 mins. She's been diagnosed with a kidney problem (don't know the type) and has an enlarged heart. She takes amlodipine, a lasix type pill, enalapril and hydrocodone homatropine. Should I be concerned or is this a simmple stomach upset?

Hello, It appears your first expert has left the conversation. Can I be of help? Hiccups are not usually a sign of serious illness, but if she stops eating I would be more worried, especially since she has these other problems. I see she ate breakfast but did she eat her dinner tonight? If not, I would be worried, and you might have her veterinarian examine her when their office is open. Check her gums; they should be pink in color. If they look pale, she should be checked out soon. Let me know if this is helpful and what else I can answer or help with.
