Please clarify if your dog is a Yorkie and you've given him grapes. If so, we become concerned if a dog ingests 1/2 of a grape per pound of body weight. In other words, a 10 lb Yorkie ingesting 5 grapes might become intoxicated as evidenced by vomiting, anorexia, lethargy, diarrhea and renal failure 12-24 hours post-ingestion. Grape toxicity is idiosyncratic, however. In other words, most dogs can ingest grapes to their heart's content without harm. Only a few will get in trouble. Please respond with further questions or concerns if you wish.
