Half hour ago and probaly half tea spoon

Great. Boric acid is fairly safe. At large doses (a lot more than in half a tea spoon) there can be damage to the kidneys and liver but not at smaller doses. With this dose, there may be some vomiting or diarrhea. There may be no signs. Symptomatic treatment is done at this time if vomiting starts up.
