My 4 year old greyhound seems to have lost all use of her back

Customer Question

My 4 year old greyhound seems to have lost all use of her back legs!! They are limp, lifeless & as if they are not even attached to her!!!
The whites of her eyes have started to haemorrhage within the last 3 hrs or so.
She's drinking very little & has only eaten some cheese & ham but won't touch anything else!!
She hasn't vomited or had any toilet accidents.

Please don't hesitate to bring her to a 24-hour facility at your earliest convenience. Such bleeding indicates a life-threatening blood dyscrasia such as thrombocytopenia (decreased blood platelets) or an anticoagulant rodenticide poisoning. She may also be hemorrhaging into her brain and/or spinal cord which has caused her hind leg paresis (weakness)/paralysis. Please respond with further questions or concerns if you wish but I'd rather you were on your way to a veterinary ER.
