my dog is not walking well and can not lay down. Im pretty sure its her anal glands. how can I keep her comfortable until the vet is available. she is in pain is there something I can give her ?

As for over the counter analgesia you're necessarily constrained to aspirin dosed at 10 mg/lb with food and repeated in 12 hours if necessary or acetaminophen dosed at 7 mg/lb thrice daily. You must avoid both the toxic ibuprofen and naproxen. Please respond with further questions or concerns if you wish.
