Beagle was lame in front leg. Vet said tick fever.

beagle was lame in front leg. Vet said tick fever. Antibiotics, pain med etc,,but he got worse. Then Vet dicided to take bb out of his front leg (with never was a problem, but showed up in exray) After that he just got more infection on leg and down hill from them.
What would have been the proper treatment for my lame but otherwise find Tippy. I spent
$1000. on nothing to save him.

Evelyn, I'm sorry that your question wasn't answered in a timely manner. "Tick fever" has become a generic term. Do you know which of the tick-borne diseases was diagnosed and how it was diagnosed? Once I'm apprised of that I can be more informative for you.
