Hi, I'm Dr. Bonk. I'm sorry to hear about Apollo's troubles. Signs of constipation would be not having a bowel movement in 24-48 hours but still eating well. If he is not eating, don't expect there to be anything coming out. Tight, bloated stomach, discomfort when laying down, straining when posturing to defecate.

Some things you can do at home are:

Feed him a 1:1 mixture of vaseline and butter. Give 1/2 cup of the mixture twice a day for two days.

Feed canned pumpkin or canned green beans to increase fiber. A couple TBSP of either will meals.

If he doesn't have a bowel movement within 24 hours of starting the treatment or if he becomes increasingly uncomfortable or painful, get him to a vet for a possible enema and fluid therapy.

I hope this helps. Please contact me with any further questions you may have. Thank you and good luck!
