Hello Debra,

My name is***** and I will help you. Could you please tell me how old your puppy is and how long ago did the problem begin?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
She is just six weeks, and it started right away. Took her to vet to get wormed, and I had noticed that she wasn't having a bowel movement . Vet cleaned her out, and said to take her back where I bought her, but I'd fallen in love with her by then

Now that she's passed any worms, she appears to have no control and it sticks on her.

There is a good chance that she has an abnormality with being able to keep her anus closed. There may also be a problem with her intestinal mobility. The stool may not be moving through her digestive tract properly.

It is very easy to get attached to a sweet little puppy.

But are you prepared to have to diaper her and clean her behind all day long for the rest of her life?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Is there nothing else that can be done for her?
Expert:  Dr Marta Lepes replied 1 year ago.

If it is a genetic problem then there is not much that can be done.

Sometimes these things just happen. It is a heart ache.

I agree that you should take her back to the breeder. It is important for them to know that one of the puppies has this condition.

I feel so bad for you. Perhaps another puppy from the litter could help heal your heart.

We can continue this dialog - even after the rating - if I can help you.

The tailless condition is called anury and it is genetic.
